Healing the Brokenhearted

Bible comfort

Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.

This scripture not only refers to individuals. It also includes nations. Do you know any person or nation that is a wreck; is crushed or ruptured?

Some come to mind immediately. They need more than a band-aid and a couple of aspirin. They need a major overhaul. No amount of human effort is going to bring healing to these wounds.

Only Jesus, the All-powerful God, can restore, heal, bind up, these gaping injuries and sorrows. Only Jesus the Great Physician. He waiting for us to ask. Will you?

Almighty God, creator of heaven and earth,
come in and bind up these wounds.
Set the crooked straight.
Heal the unhealable.
These situations are beyond our help;
only You are our Healer, our Deliverer,
our Hope.
We stand to see You, Jesus,
bring the healing we so desire.

  1. Dear Sally, your Love touches my heart, so many are hurting, some live right next door to us, some in distant places and yes as you shared God is the only answer, the only one who can heal the deep wounds and even erase the scares.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

So many fear God because they do not know Him or they have been deceived about Him, God is Love and there is no evil in Him and He does not willingly afflict us, when we know Him for who He is and His good will for us we will have deep inner Joy that is with us regardless of the circumstances.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Yes, Anne. Such love is available, and yet people run as if chased by evil when they hear Jesus’ name! Thanks for the comment.

      • So very True Sally, yet even some Christians do not believe God does Miracles today or Signs and Wonders, they have even made up a name for those who do believe and claim we are worshiping Miracles but Jesus talked about them as being from His Father and He has not changed He is the same yesterday , today and tomorrow but it’s like Jesus said; because of their unbelief they have not experienced them or do they believe those who do, they put God in a box and claim He doesn’t so they can’t see them, they are blind.

I remember an Elder in a Church saying to me that God doesn’t do them today, I said to him, then can you explain what Doctors can’t about my healings which are documented and the Signs and Wonders that were witnessed by others, even non believers that I have experienced in my life.

Perhaps they feel they are counterfeit but Satan can’t do good and he cannot save lives he can only destroy them, his miracles are deception based on tricks and allusion but as Christians we will not be deceived if we seek God for His Truth.

        Blessings – Anne

Yes, Anne. There will always be doubters. Jesus called us to be witnesses. A witness tells what he has seen and heard. Those who have seen His hand and heard His voice need to shout it from the housetops for all to hear. Bless you, my dear for your obedience to do what He said!
