Clogged Pipeline?

Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Left to ourselves, we would never come to the conviction of the truth unless the Holy Spirit opened our ears and allowed the truth about Jesus to pour into our hearts.

We hear with our ears, but also with our hearts. If we carry anger or bitterness or unforgiveness, we hinder the Holy Spirits work in our lives. That pipeline to our heart plugs up. The truth can’t get through.

Some people go through their whole lives, hearing but not perceiving that Jesus came, died, and rose again. They are unable to take it in; to make it their own truth and hope.

Do you know someone like that? If so, pray for them to let go of those things that hinder their understanding. Your prayer might be the very thing that makes the difference in their eternal life.

Lord Jesus, open deaf ears
and soften hard hearts.
May Your truth sink deep
to produce good fruit
in many lives.
