The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

Isaiah 44:3
(God said) “For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground. I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants;”

For those who are willing to admit our thirst for God and His ways, God is ready and able to meet our need.

God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is there waiting for us who are willing to ask for Him. God’s Spirit infuses us with strength we do not possess in our own strength. He gives courage to the faint-hearted.

The Holy Spirit is given to people to further God’s kingdom. Some of those gifts are listed in I Corinthians 12:8-11. They are word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

God hasn’t changed His mind or cancelled His gifts. They are available today. We need to ask Him to fill us with the gifts of His choosing.

Lord God, I am thirsty for You.
Please come and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
May I give to others
as freely as You have given to me.
Thank You, my Lord and my God.
