God’s Wisdom

God's Wisdom

James 3:17
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable (willing to yield), full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

God’s wisdom far surpasses ours. Our wisdom is based on what we know and can see and hear.
God, on the other hand, sees the end from the beginning. Ours is subject to human fault. Our intentions are not always honorable, even though we may tell ourselves they are.

Taken to its end, our earthly wisdom falls far short. The result is not what we intended, even with our best intentions. At best, our wisdom is subject to doubt and uncertainty.

Praise God He didn’t leave us to our own devices! He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us all things—to deliver His wisdom when we ask for it.

When He gives His wisdom, act on it without doubting, for our Father truly does know best.

Father, I want to operate in Your wisdom
even when it seems totally opposite
of what I might cook up.
Teach me to trust Your wisdom
above my own at all times.
