God’s Solution to Terrorism

open Bible

II Chronicles 7:14
“ . . . and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

God promises His people deliverance if they will do four things. (1) We must humble ourselves. That means to bring ourselves into subjection to Him. To stop trying to do things our own way. (2) To pray—to cry out to Him—to intercede for His deliverance. (3) To seek His face—to seek God’s presence and person. (4) And then turn from our wicked ways—our displeasing hurtful deeds and actions. We must change our life directions that displease God.
If the people called by His name, will meet His requirements, He promises to (1) give heed and grant our requests; (2) forgive—pardon our sin and (3) heal—restore favor to our land and our inhabitants.
Each of us needs His healing and deliverance. Will we fulfill His requirements in order to see His hand bring the healing we so desperately need?

Lord God, only You can heal us and our land.
We have walked apart from Your word and way.
We have sinned greatly against You. Please forgive us.
We cry out to You for Your deliverance.
May we come to know You as we are known.
We choose to walk a blameless path before You, our God.
