II Corinthians 3:6
(God) who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
As believers in Jesus, God has equipped us by His Spirit to be His servants of the new covenant, the new testament, the new agreement.
This new covenant does not depend on pleasing God by following the laws to the letter set out in the Old Testament.
In this new covenant, God supplies the Holy Spirit to enable us to live a life pleasing to Him.
The Holy Spirit equips us to love as He loves. He charges us with His power to do business in His name, just as Jesus did when He physically walked on earth.
We no longer have to operate in our own strength or wisdom. God’s gifts are there for us to minister His love, at His direction, for His glory, praise, and honor.
Thank You Father God for the privilege
of entering into relationship with You.
May I live my life at Your direction
so I may make Your heart glad.
