God’s Guidance

crossroads

Psalm 112:4
Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.

Many times we find ourselves at a crossroads. Do we go right or left, or straight ahead? We need God’s wisdom, His instruction because only He knows the end from the beginning.

When we invite Him into a decision we can expect His sure guidance. His light. His instruction.

There is one qualification here. We must be upright in His eyes. That word “upright” means “to be right, pleasing, correct, righteous, straight.” If we are not pleasing in the Lord’s sight, we need not expect His light in our lives.

We need to ask Him today to show us any way that displeases Him, tell Him we’re sorry and change that way, that behavior, that keeps His light from us.

Lord God, I desire to walk a blameless path before You.
May all I do, say, and think, be pleasing in Your sight.
May I enjoy Your light in my life all my days.
May I reflect You in all my ways.
