Don’t Grow Weary

impatient

Galatians 6:9
And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due
time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.

Just a couple of verses before this we’re reminded we reap
whatever we plant. What do you think that applies to? Does the Lord limit
Himself? Hardly! Will we sow kindness and harvest a crop of hatefulness?
Or joy and receive sadness in return? God’s kingdom dynamics don’t work
that way.

But sometimes it takes longer than we expect before the crop
ripens. When that happens it’s easy to lose heart. Do you get tired of
constantly trying to please someone when he’s never satisfied and you
don’t see anything good come from your efforts? That’s when it helps to
remember that our timetable isn’t God’s and He never said everything will
work out immediately.

Instead, He encourages us not to grow weary and concede defeat. I
think God wants us to do what pleases Him just because we love Him.
When we persevere, even though we can’t see the end result, we can
almost hear Him say, “Well done, My faithful servant.”

Father, when I grow weary,
strengthen me.
When my heart fails,
renew me,
that I may see Your glory.

  1. Your Message has much Truth Sally, Thank you for your Faithfulness to share. It is indeed very True that we reap what we sow good and bad. We see God’s Discipline with the Prodigal Son, yes he also reaped what he sowed but Wow what a Welcome Home when he came to Heart Repentance and it is the same for us and what we do for others we are doing for Jesus and it is the same when we don’t do good to others, the Scripture below confirms both.

Matthew 25 : 31-40 When the Son of Man shall come in His glory and all the Holy Angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the Throne of His glory. And before Him shall be gathered all Nations and He shall separate them one from another as a Shepherd divideth His Sheep from the goats. And He shall set the Sheep on His right hand but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand; Come, ye Blessed of my Father inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was an hungred and ye gave Me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave Me drink, I was a stranger and ye took Me in. Naked and ye clothed Me, I was sick and ye visited Me, I was in Prison and ye came unto Me. Then shall the Righteous answer Him saying; Lord when saw we thee an hungred and fed thee? or thirsty and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger and took thee in? or naked and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my Brethren ye have done it unto Me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels; For I was an hungred and ye gave Me no meat, I was thirsty and ye gave Me no drink, I was a stranger and ye took Me not in, naked and ye clothed Me not, sick and in prison and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer Him saying; Lord when saw we Thee an hungred or athirst or a stranger or naked or sick or in Prison and did not minister unto Thee? Then shall He answer them saying; Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these ye did it not to Me. And these shall go away into Everlasting Punishment but the Righteous into Life Eternal.

James 2:18 Even so Faith if it hath not Works is dead being alone. Yea a Man may say; Thou hast Faith and I have Works, shew me thy Faith without thy Works and I will shew thee my Faith by my Works.

In the Garden of my Life Sally I had planted many weeds which has caused me grief including as a Christian wrong Theology because of believing what Man/ Woman said when they contradicted God’s Truth but of course at times I have also been very Uplifted and Encouraged when others have shared His Truth as you did in your Post. But after asking for God’s Wisdom and Empowering which none of us were Born with, I seek Jesus now our only Spiritual Teacher to lead me into all Understanding, yes I’m still learning but I do recognize weeds now.

Matthew 23:8-10 But you do not be called ‘Rabbi’ for One is your Teacher The Christ and you are all Brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your Father for One is your Father He who is in Heaven. And do not be called Teachers for One is your Teacher The Christ. NKJV
