Are You an Innie or an Outie?

untitled

You’re either one or the other. There is no in-between. Either you are a member of God’s family, or you are not.

Some say, “Oh, we’re all God’s family.”

That’s not what God says. In the Bible, the book of John says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:14). According to this scripture, one must receive Him into their heart and life and then believe in His name.

His name is not Buddha, not Muhammad, not Higher Power. His name is Jesus Christ. That same Jesus, God’s Son, who was born in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago. The one who lived, died, and rose again. The one who paid His life’s blood that you might live a more abundant life, rather than a mere existence.

Without receiving Him, you are only His creation, not His child.

You might be saying, “But, I don’t believe.”

You can’t believe without the gift of faith. You won’t get that gift unless you ask for it. Father God is waiting to hear that request. Are you willing to ask for the faith to believe so you can be an innie?
